Fighting With Pride released.
20 Years on since the lifting of the ban on gay people serving in the British Armed forces a new book has been released called Fighting With Pride. It features the lived experiences of people who served before and during the ban and shines a light on how the British Armed Forces has changed over that time. It's a poignant book and is close to me heart as my husband was asked to contribute a chapter to this important book. I can't recommend it highly enough and if i'm not biased already, my work also features in the book and is front and centre in Soldier Magazine.
The British Armed Forces now rank and one of the UK's most inclusive employers, they have come and awfully long way in 20 years. I'm excited and hopefully for the next 20 years and want to shout out to our extended Mercian family who have always made us feel incredibly welcome and loved.
